Amenities

Here at The Caroline House, while guests are welcome to simply relax in their rooms, we also encourage our visitors to enjoy the common areas of the house, stroll the grounds of our one acre, park-like outdoor area, and explore the history and charm of the town just a short walk away.

Guests have access to all green spaces on the property to enjoy the outdoors, play yard games (croquet, soccer, football), or to just sit and relax in the fresh air. Inside the house, there are always cards, puzzles, and plenty of reading material in the common areas.

Guests can also feel free to wander into downtown historical Montgomery, just two short blocks away. There, you can enjoy the local restaurants, antique stores, and boutiques. Cedar Brake Park is just a few steps in the other direction, great for a nice stroll or to take your pup out for some exercise should you choose to bring them along!

House Rules

The Caroline House has a set of house rules to ensure everyone's stay is pleasant and memorable. Please be sure to read over and respect these guidelines for your party and for others visiting the property. 

  • Check in is from 3 PM to 8 PM. Check out is at 11 AM. If guests need any adjustments to these times, please ask Mary.

  • Cancellations: Cancellations are free of charge if done 48 hours prior to your check in time. Please inquire if you have questions.

  • If you are expecting additional guests not already accounted for in your reservation, we ask that you let us know in advance so we can try to accommodate your needs however possible. If our other buildings on the property are available, we may be able to supply additional sleeping arrangements. ** Please note: The Inn Keeper reserves the right to adjust the rates if the size of the party grows or the intended use of the property has been misrepresented at the time of the booking. Other fees may apply.

  • Check out duties: For the guests who stay in The Cottage or The Guest House: While we do a thorough cleaning between each stay, we ask that prior to check out, you wash and put away any dishes or kitchenware used. All guests of the BnB are asked to put dirty towels in the tubs prior to leaving.

  • We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are, we can fix them as effortlessly as possible!

  • Pet policy: we do currently accept pets, but we ask that guests advise us at the time of booking of the pet's size/weight and whether or not the pet is to be crated during your stay.

  • There is NO smoking in any building. Designated smoking areas outside on the grounds may be granted upon request.

  • There is a strict NO drug use policy. Please obey this; it is the law.
